How printing with us can use paper but save a tree at the same time
June 14, 2012
We’re a little green at the gills with pride about how “Green” we are and we’re not shy about bragging.
We just submitted an article to Printing Impression magazine (click here for the full article) about how ALL printing plants in the U.S. could make a huge impact on saving the environment. We’re on a crusade. But, really, it’s not all about us. It’s all about you! Because you win in two ways: you can have a good conscience about using us AND you get very competitive rates because we have bare-bones energy costs and pass on recycling reimbursements to you in the form of lower operating costs.
So, how can we use paper and save trees at the same time?
1. We have certification from our recycler that we’re saving 6,336 trees a year by favoring recycled paper products.
2. Recycling is a passion with us. We get a recycling reimbursement of $25,000 a year, which cuts our overhead.
3. We keep 3,106 cubic yards of waste out of landfills, which don’t have to expand and cut into forestland.
4. And, we save 217,455 gallons of water a year (paper-making is water intensive) that can be used to keep our water tables high—good for trees.
By the way, that article has tips any company can use to be green—yours too!
